Craig, that model is called the Swiss Air. Breitling is doing a line of Navitimers in the liveries of airlines.
Funny, I have considered buying a JC several times in the past. Glad I didn’t pull the trigger. Saved myself a few bucks! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Am I missing something? What the heck is going on in vintage watches? My GMT is one of the very earliest ones made. This one is a year newer than mine. https://www.hqmilton.com/timepieces/e08xlr3l/1961-rolex-pointed-crown-guard-gmt-master-1675-fuchsia-with-gilt-chapter-ring-exclamation-dial-A2410
Pointed crown guards + charter ring + gilt + fuchsia + unpolished case...= big money. Not sure it’s worth what Jacek is asking....but pricing on vintage stuff is getting too frothy.
You might remember I listed this one for sale here last year at $22k. A few guys kicking themselves today I guess.
As a friend, I am happy to send you 23k for it today. You change out the hands at some point? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
You are a good friend. After all you loaned me your Enzo when I was down and needed a pick me up. But thank you, for right now I think I’ll keep it. The way you see it is the way it came to me around 8 or 10 years ago. I’m sure the hour and minute hands were changed at some point prior to me being it’s caretaker. The GMT hand is original.
Well, it’s a standing offer if you ever change your mind. The red hand is original and valuable. You should look for a set of period hands before you can’t find them. Given Rolex strategy of not renewing any of their independent watchmaker parts accounts, vintage parts are going to get even more expensive and more rare as time goes on. Rolex 50th Anniversary Sub. It’s a flat 4 watch but I put in a service insert so the original doesn’t get damaged... Image Unavailable, Please Login
I’ve spent this evening bringing back the 1958 Constellation to a more period correct bracelet. I inherited the watch from my Dad who bought it new in Germany. The Speidel band that’s been on it as long as I can remember has been removed and replaced with a proper Beads of Rice bracelet. Maybe now I’ll wear it but WOW is it small! I’m napping and I guess each minute of sleep fades some more $$$ into this? Maybe if I can bake most of the colour out I’ll be set. Is this what they call “work smarter not harder”?! Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Mine is not only the first year made but also one of the very first 1675’s ever made. Serial # 517,xxx. It’s crazy what has happened to values of the early ones. Just insane.
Yeah my lowly 1991 version has tripled since I’ve bought it a few years ago. I still DD it I like it. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
