I went heavy on carbon options for my 812. I am quite happy with the results. Whether it’s interior or exterior, I think it’s hard to do some and not all. I agree with others who have posted that if carbon is your deal, interior is probably more important than exterior. Although, the exterior does look amazing for the cost of nicely equipped brand new Camry.

    Interior Carbon

$7,593 - CIDL - Carbon Fiber Driver Zone + LEDS

$7,593 - DATR - Carbon Fiber Dashboard Inserts

$2,869 - CILR - Carbon Fiber Central Bridge

$2,025 - CISK - Exterior Sill Kick in Carbon

    $20,080 subtotal

    Carbon Exterior

$6,750 - CEAI - Front Bumper Insert Carbon Fiber

$3,712 - FCWS - Carbon Fiber Front Spoiler

$9,956 - CEXS - Carbon Fiber Underdoor Cover

$5,062 - CELB - Rear Bumper Sides in Carbon

    $25,480 subtotal

The car I just purchased has all carbon interior, exterior, wheels and floor. Only think not in carbon which I believe is an option (might not be) are the mirrors.

Your dealer must love you. Made more profit on the CF than the car. But it must look great.

I bought it 2nd hand with 47 miles. It was a flip from the original owner. I didn't spec it but I really like the package.

Carbon fiber engine bay is super cool. Seriously thinking about buying it at my next scheduled service.

    Kind regards,

    Nuno.

Now for the real question that will spark hours of endless debate!

Is the engine bay considered interior or exterior? And do you view this differently for mid engine models vs front engine/ open engine bay vs hidden engine bay?

I think of it as exterior no matter what.

Exterior since it cannot be seen from the inside of the car.

    Interesting indeed!

I’d say exterior in the Spiders and exterior + interior in the Italia and GTB, once you can see it from the cockpit by just turning your head.

    Kind regards,

    Nuno.

Engine bay is a must for full carbon. Ferrari does an exceptional job with the presentation as good or better than any other. Fortunately the original owner spec'd that as well for me. :)

It gets delivered to my new shop tomorrow but I won't be back to see it until next week. I am having full PPF done including the carbon wheels.

Agree with you on the CF engine bay Gh - it’s an absolute must on a car like this, even a gtb. The novelty of being able to see such a marvelous engine becomes a visual anticlimax without it.
It’s like what!? Really? Noooooo. In that order.

Ps Good move on the ppf as well. Best to do the entire car everywhere. Mine’s being finally delivered today after a very long wait. The ppf took 70 hrs - wasn’t cheap but it is truly amazing workmanship. Triple behind wheels, double under doors and sills, screen etc.
    Shes ready for work now!

Oh for sure engine bay carbon. It looks sooo good.
And as it can be seen from inside, I’ll call it interior for arguments sake
I wouldn’t bother w the carbon lining the glass (as on the pista) however. That’s in the same vein as carbon floor plates: diamonds on the soles of her shoes

I am fairly certain the floor plate is carbon as well in my car.

On my 2012 458 Spider just have cf on the steering wheel and the b pillars. Really dont wish l had more.

Would rather have a cf tub and roof and perhaps the trunk and engine lids. Would increase stiff and decrease weight.

On interior CF, can you still get a gloss finish if you don’t also spec: CIMP “MATT PAINTED INN. CARBON FIBRE”

If there is an option to get a gloss or matt finish on interior carbon, what do you think looks better?

Doing my final spec and trying to figure it out.

For carbon, I prefer the philosophy of either all or none, regardless of inside or outside. Will be much cheaper to go all inside. My 458 have all inside and outside (minus engine bay). My FF has no carbon at all and looks great without a bit. For F8, just go all inside except the seats.

There is a fascination with carbon, but I agree all or none. No carbon but all leather , everything roof , fire wall , behind seats exudes luxury. Outside flat black or gloss black looks good. If you must engine bay looks good also but I can live without any carbon.

Exterior carbon must be in gloss.
