So how about a bump for 2019. 15 years later what’s changed? :)
From personal experience, many Ferrari owners either own a Lamborghini as well or have in the past. Not trying to be a cop-out, I've just learned the only thing I can assume is not to expect a specific persona. I also hate to get into stereotypes, since many people pooh-pooh exotic owners in general. Yes, some can be severe losers, but I've been able to make friends with some of the best folks that are passionate of makes.
Lambourghini owners call the Lambos cause they can’t say Lambourghini correctly. They also are loath to admit their cars are just Audis with an ostentatious body.
Buy whatever makes you happy. Just my opinion - the stereotypes with both marques do not always apply. Applying a broad general stereotype where it applies to most situations, is foolish.
Does not matter what we think about ourselves and what WE think others (non owners) think about us. The reality is: Lamborghini owners are perceived to be attention whores, narcissists, not the folks you want to be friends with. Ferrari owners are perceived as arrogant, elitist, looking down at anyone who does not have a Ferrari, feeling superior in all cases (like a 430 owner looking down at Carrera GT owner). This is how the owners of these two Brands are perceived in reality.
This is fairly accurate actually. Although it seems the Lambo owner is always younger, always has a smokin' Instagrammer GF, is more likely to wear sneakers that are impossibly fashionable and a t-shirt that has a design that looks like graffiti.
I still fall back on the racing history, and my memories as a kid. Ferrari was in racing, and that is what I was into. Lamborghini did not show up in any racing until recently it seems, and I was impressed when I saw them in the St Pete Grand Prix. As for the owners and stereotypes, it's funny because so many of the stereotypes are based on fact I still want to watch my favorite brands on the racetrack, and still waiting for the Lambo team to attempt F1 or more of the other classes.
This is obviously directed to the Audi generation owners, the Diablo and Countach crowd are very friendly and most likely long time married.
Nothing beats a Lamborghini specially when german got involved it’s a complete different car than ever. I own both Ferrari and Lamborghini and I’m telling you, Lambos turns everyones head. Ferrari's has less attention and less value at the second hand market.
No that is true. Same as the air cooled 911 versus 996 and later owners from what I've seen. Air cooled drivers will wave. Water cooled.. much less so in my experience.
Bad news on that I'm afraid....what they are actually attempting to do is furiously trying to get more air into the engine bay to keep it from overheating.
All these 'opinions' seem to be from people that don't own or have very little experience with either car. In order to actually obtain either car, one generally has to have some level of success. What usually goes along with that is not giving dam what anyone thinks.
No idea. Owned many Ferraris and a few Lambos myself, my post was not my opinion just a short summary of what non owners think about the actual owners of these cars. Learned that over the years while getting in discussions with folks who had no idea I was one of these "pricks" (as some call us).
