Fairly certain there is a diagram in the manual Do you have one available? If not I can posts pic later
Thanks guys. I was able to get the full PDF version of the owner's manual. I do not have access to the car, so trying to get understanding of several topics. First, I want to tap into an existing fuse location use a fuse tap. I think most everyone knows what this is ... here is a photo. Image Unavailable, Please Login This allows adding a circuit to power a device such as a radar detector. These fuse taps are sometimes called an "add-a-fuse". A good fuse box to use is the one behind the driver seat. It has several fuses that should be good candidates ... but I am not in same location as the car, so only trying understand this remotely ... Here is the layout of the fuse box ... Image Unavailable, Please Login Some questions for anyone ... In the fuse table, fuse #54 and 57 show the use as "/". I assume that means not used. But, is the fuse location hot. In other words, even though not used, if one were to install a fuse tap there, would there be power? And, do you know any of these fuses are switched to the ignition? I.e., When you switch ignition off, the power is lost at that fuse location. Judging by the use description I might assume that F-69 (cigarette lighter) or perhaps F-80 (starting relay) might be switched to the ignition. What is the physical size of the fuses ... not the rating in amperes. Fuse taps are available in various sizes. The most commonly used are ATO, Mini and Micro2 ... Image Unavailable, Please Login I cannot tell from the owner's manual what the actual fuse form factor is. I am guessing a mini fuse, but cannot tell. Really appreciate any guidance and help. Thanks, Steve
