Not new GranTurismo, not Alfieri, another one yet. A mid engine sport car to 2020. ¿maserati 4c evolution? ¿Maserati cayman ? Image Unavailable, Please Login https://www.quattroruote.it/news/nuovi-modelli/2019/08/21/maserati_come_sara_la_nuova_sportiva_del_tridente.html
That's the car Macgeek was talking about. Sort of a larger version of the Alfa 4C. And Alfa will make one to, maybe with the same tub. Good to see the Italian's still doing this sort of limited production. We thought the 4C would be the last. It would be nice if they offered a 5 of 6 speed manual but not many would order it. We will have to wait until the 2020 al Salone di Geneva.
Do you know if it'll be a V6? Thanks for posting. They're a few years late but better late than never, I guess. The GranTurismo is probably the longest toothed car in the industry right now. I can't think of another car that's been in the same form, more or less, for over 10 years.
Is confirmed, is a Alfa 4c Evolution from Modena factory: 2020: - 6C (M240 - carbon fiber, rear engine, V6 from Giulia Qv) - Quattroporte restyling - Levante restyling - Ghibli restyling - M189-Alfieri (100% electric) 2021 - 6C spider - Suv D (Alfa Stelvio brother) - New Gran turismo 2022 - New Quattroporte - New Gran Cabrio 2023 - New Levante (¿7seats?)
I just got this email from Maserati. Could it be the same car? Maserati MMXX? Image Unavailable, Please Login
M189-Alfieri (100% electric)? They already said a hybrid version was coming. Who are they getting their info from?. Some good news. The sportscar looks great. FCA will change this before it actually happens I have no doubt. The Italian business model: Neglect Maserati for 5 years , then neglect Alfa Romeo for 5 years. Now wonder the Germans mop them up in the market place.
Think they are going to do a marketing countdown to its May MMXX (2020) release: We may not be able to see it but at least we can now HEAR it---and this is NO electric motor: LOVE IT!
PS A mid-engined V8 Maserati priced at 200K suggests a whole different ball game! If accurate this is no Cayman clone but more like a 911 Turbo competitor!
Probably because the exact schedule hasn’t been worked out yet. May is very big month for automotive events in Italy, Monaco Historic Races (every other year), the Mille Miglia, Villa d’Este Concours, the Monaco GP, plus many other smaller gatherings and a few new ones.
I would assume it is being scheduled to coincide with the new (2019) Motor Valley Fest event in Modena sponsored by the various manufacturers, museums, collections, race tracks etc in the Emilia-Romagna area. I know the Maserati international meet is scheduled for Oct, maybe the organizing clubs could do something to coincide with this event. My rooms are already booked.
Actually the Maserati International Meeting is June 25-28 (not October), I was at the previous edition in 2010 in the same region of Sweden and it was absolutely fantastic: https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/mir-2020-bastad-sweden-registration-opens-tomorrow.610824/
Not the 4C tub directly, the engine more than likely could be A variation of the V6 currently in the Alfa QV.
this could be a very interesting car. stretched 4c with giulia motor has my attention. but that sound clip doesn't sound like turbo. maybe a na v8? that would be cooler still.
IMO we are all speculating wrong. I think this is a Maserati version of the Ferrari Roma with a turbo V6 up front. 2 + 2 daily driver/ GT. Probably starting at 120k.
