Outrageous car but his claim the car gets 7 mpg (US gallon is still 4 litres ??) that makes it circa 3 km/lt !!!! Which would have been $2500 for my trip to the last FNR in Adelaide as opposed to the frugal 355 which only cost $1800
The US Gallon is 3.785 Liters ( 4.546 here) and I think in California you can only buy 91 Octane fuel, so ( Via google search) at 7mpg that's 33.6L/100ks ....Ouch
He was driving like a lunatic....what else would you expect? 588kw that's 788hp ffs! Claimed...Fuel Consumption Combined (L/100km) 15
the LA canyon roads are wonderful, excellent quality tarmac and very lightly policed. However, they're within easy commuting distance (I think the clip was on the Angeles Crest Highway, 30KM from central LA) and people live out there, so you have a commuter "rush hour" situation twice a day.
It does sound superb. Of course, I also noted his observation that the FEV12 is really “for grandpas”...
Went into the dealer today to pick up my OHOS ready for The Bend track day next week. Chloe had a good look around the Portofinos they have. Perhaps too good a look... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Every new car is huge these days. Blame the Yanks. Have you seen what passes for a 3 series these days? It’s about the size of a small aircraft carrier. To be fair to the Portofino, it is a four-seater, and about half the size of the two-seat 812. My 355 looked like a kids toy compared to everything else.
They also had a 512BB in there. It looked amazing. And, tiny compared to the modern cars. Regardless, I’d love a 488 Spider. Or a new F8. We shall see...
A new pal who lives locally came out last week with his 488 and next to my 360 and Steve’s 308 it looked pretty large, not much in the width but brakes and wheels huge difference [emoji237] Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
