Anyone know the chassis number of Martin Viessmann's F300? It was the one on display at GFOS but didn't have the chassis number on the nose like the Corse Clienti cars do.
Damon struggled with everything!!! Couldn’t stand him as a driver. Michael made mincemeat of him! Forza Ferrari..... the only racing team and car marque that matters. Italia forever It’s easier to apologise than it is to ask permission
Like Elton, dominant cars, but Michael still stuffed them even though his car was **** compared to them, shows what a class act he is
Rewriting history? The 94 Benetton was clearly better than the Williams. Especially when you add the illegal electronics they used on MS' car. Your "class act" remains the sole F1 driver in the whole history of the sport who has been stripped of all his WDC points by the governing body for his ruthless on track behavior.
Why am I not surprised at this? The benneton was not the best car, it was a clear second best to the Williams. It just happened to have the greatest ever driver behind the wheel that made it dance. Show me the proof of any traction control - i don’t remember anyone ever proving any such device was on the car, but more than happen to entertain the notion to keep you happy. I seem to remember the Williams having rather a decent advantage over everything regardless, and schumi stuffed them. Boo hoo The fact the FIA chose to remove points was their problem, schumi still ran the Williams to the wire in a car that was third best most of the season, and drove the wheels off it. NO ONE ELSE could ever have done what he did, not a one, even Senna, that is the mark of the man And before we get high and mighty, ask Damon in private his intentions at, well can’t remember which race cos I don’t rate hill, but at one when running second and losing ground to Michael, he launched himself across the grass, never attempted the corner, and t boned Michael out of the race. They’ve all got aggression in them, your mate Elton is praises by your mates Here when he punts even his teammates off Forza Ferrari..... the only racing team and car marque that matters. Italia forever It’s easier to apologise than it is to ask permission
Funny... when Mercedes is not caught cheating they are not cheating... but the Benetton had "ilegal electronics" although it was never caught for that, the FIA had to make up a story out of a wooden floor-plate.... And just because they made an example stripping Michael off the points does not mean that he was less of an "class act" than Lewis, Senna or others. Lewis drove his team mate off the track deliberatly as well and absolutely nothing happened, Senna and Prost decided two championships driving each other of the track and none of them was stripped off his points...but the Michael-haters still like to bring it up because obviously they lack of other arguments...and interestingly those are exactly the same people moaning how unfair this forum is towards Lewis and how people detract his achievements....
To be fair though, Hill earned his place in Williams doing a lot of test-driving and doing well against his teammates. And the 1997 Hungary race was awesome up until that gearbox went out. Not as bad a driver as he's made out to be. But these days I think maybe his career is more interesting for the struggle to get to where he got. Basically the polar opposite to Hamilton.
You forgot the ball bearings in the gas. Benetton were shameless and flagrant with all their cheating.
Watched a sort of documentary on Schumacher the other day. He was a great driver, no doubt, but he also had quite a bit of luck (the 1994 incident that won him the WDC by 1 point...) and played the political game quite well at Ferrari making sure he was always the no 1. And maybe, just maybe, I have been underestimating what Ross Brawn did while Schumi got the headlines all those years. Still, he was one of the greats.
Jean Todt gave a progress report today. Here it is. https://www.express.co.uk/sport/f1-autosport/1159689/F1-news-Michael-Schumacher-health-update-Jean-Todt-Ferrari-Formula-One
Have to disagree majorly here. Only in 1995 when it got Renault power was it on the level of the Williams and we all saw what happened.
Aside from my post 5 weeks ago, is there any actual MS "injury recovery thread", or is this thread now just after-the-fact bench racing?
