The Single clutch Lamborghini ( aventador ) is brutal it seems . I really doubt they have reached dual clutch gearbox efficiency.
Some people like brutal. Efficiency is a different thing (it has to do with the power loss) and a single clutch box is great at that (less moving parts). I guess you mean "quality of operation" which is a fancy term for non-perceptible/smooth changes. Funnily though, some people were slating Ferrari for the smoother changes of the double clutch vs the F1 box and at the same time Lambo gets heat for maintaining that very same box!!! I can't wait to hear comments about the Valkyrie when it gets released...
Single clutch=more feeling -> those days are gone. Today, this much torque and HP needs smooth transition between gears. You can not smooth out gear changes in mid RPM and you don't want any sudden and noticeable power disconnection during sporty driving. For example, you don't want to shift mid corner in aventador at all. Anyway,I really am shocked they found 63 buyers for this kit car.
With modern electronics one can do just about anything. F1 cars for example have sequential boxes and change gears midcorner at will. I am pretty sure that the Valkyrie will be able to do that too.
I understand your point but I am not sure we have to consider the Valkyrie as the benchmark in terms of gearbox efficiency. The packaging is really tight as always with newey with so much horsepower and torque to deal with , which means a brutal transmission. A real race car I guess with little road car abilities. The Murray t50 pure manual gearbox is a lot more logical to me .
I see nothing logical in a manual box mounted on a state of the art motorcar. It will always be the weakest link, dynamically. Some people might like it, but technically it is obsolete.

The spitfire is obsolete compared to , let's say, a F35 but what a beautiful airplane ! We are talking about emotions not pure efficiency and numbers. It's matter of personal taste and an old used debate for sure. Your point is completely legit nevertheless.
The Aventador-sourced single-clutch transmission also benefits. This set-up has been an Achilles heel for Lamborghini compared with newer twin-clutch units, with the need to physically cut the ignition during changes as the clutch engages and disengages often leading to jerky progress. Yup... i always prefer to start my car with a handcrank too... but ever since cadillac came up with the starter... car enthusiasts have ceased to exist
So... I normally use that phrase in a more directly relatable scenerio... but the internet and especially amazon has changed peoples buying/spending habits. People have alot more information at their fingertips. GOOD. People have alot more bad or misinformation at their fingertips that think its true BAD. Peoples version of VALUE has changed. Value used to have to do with quality, price and experience... you know the intangibles... now... it has to do with PRICE. Price is value. To discerning people quality comes into play. But show someone a 30 dollar toaster or a 300 dollar toaster... guess which one they will buy even if the 300 dollar one will last them a lifetime. Why amazon? sort by price. Buying habits have changed to sort by price. Not by quality. Not by value. Sort by price. This way of analyzing things means that it is much more common for the masses to say the x y or z is the fastest in the world. For example the bugatti is known for its top speed. few know how unbelieviably good the car is to drive daily. How well the A/C works. How beautifully crafted the interior is... they know the speed. The numbers and data can all be sorted in one way or another. Feelings can't... well outside of politics that is.

Do you guys like the "nose aerofoil" look? That's the only off part of the car in my eyes. The upper one cutting the lights in half. Disclaimer: I also loathe the faux floating aerofoil look of the La Ferrari, and was generally queasy about the 488 one.

For my understanding, it will still has rough and violent gear change but electric motor will fill the gab of power loss between gear changes. How that will smooth out?
