I just want cars, marketing is funny, but nowadays it s becoming most important than the product. ! Marketing ll be most important in the next few years, because the product needs to be sale, specially the F 8 sucessor !
This. Everyone in the world already knew what it looked liked. There are probably 100 renders out there that look nearly identical. I honestly don't even know why the event was a big deal. There are only a handful of ways to make a Spider/convertible... The 812 Spider worthy of a special VIP event already happened and it was called the Monza.
I feel we have reached a saturation point. None of these cars (other than the Monza) make me dream. None of the new paganis None of the Mclaren (GT, upcoming Speedster, Speedtail) None of the Ferraris (SF90,F8,812 Spider...) None of the Porsches (935, GT2RS..) They are all great cars but there are way too many of them in too quick of a cycle. So you dont even have time to get acquainted with one that there is a new one that is faster, rarer, more expensive etc coming. All of that makes me dream even more of a Daytona or a Lusso or a Miura SV...
I couldn't agree more. Nothing belongs behind the windshield on a front engine convertible. This would have been spectacular with a low and flat rear, no hoops with the "outdated" Mercedes automatic roll bar of the '00s. Go out like a Daytona instead of a T top 'vette. Shame. Swing and a miss.
Nah, it's the mentality between the "analog" vs "digital" generation. I don't think the younger generations can understand how it felt to have just a poster of the Testarossa from "Miami Vice", a F40, a 959, a Countach, or the McLaren F1 on you wall, alongside that of the Concorde of course, when you were a teenager in the '80s and '90s. Back when you were just happy to see exotic cars and if you're lucky to grab a photo from your "analog" camera, praying it didn't get blurred. Instagram has literally ruined this magic.
Hey guys, Just returned from Maranello. The entire show and universo set-up was amazing! It was very funny to see, that after they presented both cars, people could either go look at the V12 or the V8. I‘d say 95% ran to the V12 first; that for obvious reasons of course... In my opinion, the roof works. As mentioned by many others, the roof is identical to the roof of the 488 spider. The lines of the 812SF coupe are better and more elegant - but isn‘t that always the case with coupes opposed to convertibles. The mechanism works well and efficiently. The only thing I don‘t like about the line, is that the rear window has become kind of a ‚half square‘. Before it was more of a triangle. The green line should represent like of coupe and pink line of spider (see photo). It def. turned out much better than the roof line of the F60; although that isn‘t all to hard to achieve haha. The new rims are great, simmilar to TDF rims and the new rear diffusor works well too. Color looked like Grigio Ferro to me, it looks lighter because of all the bright lights, but I am sure that it is... Def. did not like the rosso corsa one. No GT should ever be bright red. The other one was nice, but a little bit boring. I feel like the grey with yellow is kind of over... View attachment 5545195 View attachment 1357035
What a nice car that looks like. Not perfect, but very nice. Would look stellar in Rosso Maranello or Rosso Coburn.
That’s what I saw yesterday in Maranello... Damn stickers on the phone cameras... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Simply a jawdropper! 1st they messed up SF Stradale rear, and now 812. Yes, those photos should be banned, definitely.
Having seen in real, supported with design explanations, I feel it s a great combo of the best of Superamerica, SP1 and 812 Coupe line.
Looks a bit of a mess in those pics. I'm wondering if the fake black glass quarter can be body coloured? Hopefully the grey car looks better.
Easy to overthink this - it’s a Ferrari V12 spider and that means many good things. The roof styling is obvious and elegant, not much to be controversial here. The red is not for me though and I hear whoever said grey and yellow is looking overdone now. I think a darker colour with a lighter interior would suit this car well.
