I'd personally go a 458. Last of the NA cars and sound way better. I think they look nicer too.
But neither look as good as a 355 ;)

I know that's the conventional wisdom, and I agree to some extent.
However, I'm never going to sell the 355, so it doesn't make much sense to add another great looking, mid-engine, great sounding NA V8 for precisely the reason you state in your final sentence.

It actually makes more sense to get a 488, given they're around the same price as a 458 anyway. Newer, faster, easier to live with around town and still under warranty, etc.

    No worries.
I'm not doing anything for 12 months or so (standing by for "gunna" comments :D), and it's more likely a Cali T / Portofino will be bought before anything else, but it's fun to think ahead...

They are absolutely cracking little machines - only modern car I'd actually consider buying. Fiat nationals at Taillem Bend last April I drove my friend's on track, motorkhana, show'n'shine and then we drove it home to Qld via Lightning Ridge - perfect for everone of those activities!

Yes, made by Mazda in a Mazda factory.

Still, perhaps it's a portent of the future. Ferrari badges on a GTR for example? :)
