The race result counts, qualy is nice, but at the end of the day WC points is what matters.

Vettel summoned to stewards for leaving the track and gaining an advantage on his first run in final qualifying

    Yes, I agree.
But I think qualifs times are a valid reflection of speed on any given track.
Race results can be influenced by many factors, but for me qualifs as such are the purest test of speed for man and machine.

Also, Formula 2 gives 4 points for Pole.
I wish F1 could do the same.

They could easily implement a simple solution. The car that finishes 11th in Q2 is given a new set of soft tires and is expected to set the tow for cars 1 - 10.

So. Cutting the chicane is not "deliberately" leaving the track? Ok, got it. Cutting the chicane is accidentally leaving the track.

    F1. Jokey.

Yes, since the race is the purest test of tire management.

    What a scandal.
All first 10 drivers should be disqualified.

I thought all "Monégasques" spoke Italian, since Monaco originates from Italy, and the rulers (the Grimaldi family) are from Italian stock.
Their national anthem sounds Italian, probably a dialect.

But at least he is loosing against someone that is considered the real deal... but what is the excuse for the "best qualifier ever" according to his fanboys that his butler has as many poles as he has??? It´s shocking, isn´t it?

  21. More rules eh? They did what they did, what's all the hubbub about?
I guess we need to regulate bladder and bowel movements of all team members too while we're "babysitting" the "kiddies", eh?

What's happening to my sport....? The "fans" that just want a show, not real men real racing....? :(

In today's racing being clever is more valued than being brave, I think.

Monaco's territory is surrounded by France, the official language of Monaco is French. The wider defence of the nation is also provided by France.

All sounds pretty French to me, although they somehow don't go on strike as much as in France.
