It’s a combination of the screen refresh rate and camera shutter speed cause that visual illusion of it not working. It looks like a strobe light on video! But it’s 100% normal to the human eye.

I forgot to compliment you for putting ear protection on that beautiful little child (I assume a little girl), toddlers are so fragile. I have known so many pilots from my open cockpit days that have poor hearing or no hearing. I somehow still hear very well but lately people have not been speaking loud enough....most of the time they are talking to themselves even when they are looking at me, I think.

Thank you! We do our best with the ear protection although lately she has been taking them off a lot and we have to keep putting them back on her. Generally we stay on top of it but as you can see from this picture, she still manages to get them off for a bit at times...

Most famous oval would be Indianapolis, unless you are a NASCAR fan.

That's what I assumed too. But thats not Indy (which is really more of a rounded rectangle), nor is it Daytona, Talladega, Dover, Monza, or any other racetrack I can think of.

I don't see any spectator stands, so I'm guessing its a test track. It's not any of the ones I can think of though, Nardo, Ehra-Leissan.... I stumped.

Affirmative, I knew it was not Indy or any other racetrack I am familiar with. Definitely not the most famous oval.

Somewhere I have pictures of it too. I’ve flown over it a bunch as well and always thought it was pretty cool!

Yep that was a mental error transposing thoughts. I was hoping to overfly Indy but IFR routing didn't cooperate. Then I saw the TRC facility down below and snapped quick pik. Still disappointed I hadn't seen Indy when I hastily typed caption!
How about 'World's longest Oval' (which may or may not be true!)

A couple of weeks ago, I was sitting on my back porch and noticed something HUGE and flying quite slowly. I pulled up FlightAware and it noted that the airframe was an 'A124', and on course from Cape Canaveral AFS (XMR) to Charlotte (CLT).

Further research showed that it was a Russian Antonov An-124! The next day I took my two boys to CLT to see if it was visible, and thankfully, we found it after prowling around the airport perimeter. Amazingly large plane (but still smaller than an A380)! They do not actually fly slowly. It just looks that way because they are so large. A T-38 sized aircraft going the same airspeed looks like it is really humming along.

I believe the approach speed on a T-38 is significantly, i.e. noticeably, greater than an AN-124.

Jim- The point was, large aircraft look like they are going slower compared to small aircraft going the same velocity. I have seen this dozens of times.
