Forum member Sam Saprunoff, was making a replacement blade fuse system a few years ago for 308s and testarossas - I bought a 308 set from him in 2016. There is a thread in the testarossa forum section about these. My car came with the original fuse blocks, and a set of Birdman fuse blocks in a box - the previous owner had purchased them but never installed them. I installed the Birdman in 2013, but jumped at the chance to buy a set of the Saprunoff blocks. Aside from using the blade fuses, they are better made AND let me use the original fuse covers, which don't fit over the Birdman blocks. Unfortunately, Sam posted recently that he has been much too busy over the past few years with his real job to do another production run of these, but may plan for one in the future. Original vs Saprunoff blocks, not mounted: Image Unavailable, Please Login Saprunoff block on left, Birdman block on right Image Unavailable, Please Login Both Saprunoff blocks mounted (just like the originals, the left block is white, the right block is black) Image Unavailable, Please Login Saprunoff fuse blocks with the factory fuse block covers in place: Image Unavailable, Please Login
I like originality. This was my fuse box solution. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I burned the alternator/water pump belt off, so in I went, to clean and de glaze all the pulleys, and install a new Gates Polybelt #7M975!! It turns out they sell them in a little shop, over on the East Side. I have two more in the kit though. What a cheesey little drive belt, I well loaded the tension on this one. Hate to load the bearings but I bet the water pump performs better than a slipping one!! I need a new intake rubber accordian boot, what's the info on that??
Our usual Sunday morning spin, under a grey sky and with a light drizzle this time, autumn is coming fast... The castle is initially 14th century, although with a lot of later add-ons, like many medieval castles. Rgds Image Unavailable, Please Login
