That's beyond my capabilities to assess and I haven't read that. But....there's(was?) no shortage of belief that this is the Vikings year. It has to be.....they spent all this money! Seriously. There were 2 guys in the Vikings secondary who didn't play because of injuries.

Mr. Rick Spielman and Kirk Cousins is where I will make an assessment........no great football knowledge here, just a a guy who worked for a living and who sees these guys on TV once in a while(don't watch local TV much).....neither strikes me as as the kind of person who leads. That's important; the Vikings don't have it and Cousins performance doesn't command a leadership role.

    What about Ramsey's trade request....

What in the hell did Tom Coughlin do to that team?

Cousins is a very nice guy. He looks good against mediocre competition but can’t perform in big games when it really counts. This is nothing new.

Wentz made very few good plays this week. What a disappointment. Overshooting open receivers. Ugh.

Rivers looked like he never played the game before. He chewed out some receivers for not properly running their routes. Earth to Philip, it’s your job to make sure they are on the same page not vice versa.

Dak looks like he wants to be the highest paid qb. Not much to complain about with him now is there.

Flacco keeps missing receivers high. Not very accurate and not very mobile. He needs much better protection from his O line than he is getting.

Deshaun Watson throws his body around like he is an Andrew Luck heading for early retirement cuz his body can’t take the punishment any more.

Eli looks like he is way past his prime. Guessing NYG will give the backups a chance sooner than later. Schurmur wont commit to starting him this week.

NO without Brees and PIT without Ruthlessburger are like days without sunshine.

Trubisky is not the Bears long term solution. They should let him keep running around like a chicken with its head cut off until he gets so hurt that they can go out and get a real qb. Passed up Mahomes and Watson to get this clown.

BUF has done a great job with Allen. They let him do the things he does well and won’t let him do things he doesn’t do well. This is good coaching. They are 2-0. I am impressed so far. But they have only beat the Jets and Giants. Not saying alot. But l remember when they couldn’t beat those teams. Progress.

Jags are a disaster. I think they thought hiring Coughlin would eventually bag them Eli as a veteran game manager that could lead the deep in the postseason with a dominant D. That plan failed, so they went all in on Foles, and he's likely done for a good chunk of the year. Their WRs stink. Fournette doesn't seem to have grown as a player. And, their much vaunted D appears to have lost their swagger.

    First round picks per Wiki...

    2010 Tyson Alualu DT California
    2011 Blaine Gabbert QB Missouri
2012 Justin Blackmon WR Ok State
    2013 Luke Joeckel T Texas A&M
    2014 Blake Bortles QB UCF
2015 Dante Fowler Jr. DE Florida
2016 Jalen Ramsey CB Florida State
    2017 Leonard Fournette RB LSU
    2018 Taven Bryan DT Florida
    2019 Josh Allen DE

I'm going with bust on most of these. Ramsey is the best pick thus far and he wants out.

I listened to that game. Wentz seemed like he was in a fog. I think they even took him into the tent to check him for a concussion. If Jackson and Jeffrey miss significant time, his job will get even more difficult. The Iggs radio guys said their D was exposed in that they couldn't keep up with Jones and Ridley. Hopefully, the Boys are watching and will exploit!

P.s. Gotta check out Allen. He's a great story. From player no one wanted in college to first round draft pick.

I can't stand the MNF announcers any more. From now on I'll watch, mute the TV, and listen to the radio broadcast.

Seeing as though ESPN has Peyton doing things, I'm suspecting they are really going to try to get him in the booth next season. Can you say highest paid?

ESPN seems to have the philosophy that the more talking the better. That’s just their MO.

I never watch their stuff live. I record and ff between plays, commercials, frequent digressions about who knows what.

My favorite is Tony Romo. He understands the game, communicates it well and is good at reading defenses. It is a pleasure to listen to him. Hard to believe he and Witten were on the same team. And then Witten might have just been the victim of ESPN bad broadcasting techniques.

Bugger Mcfarland just can never shut up. Diarhea of the mouth. It’s like a bad toothache that just won’t go away. Actually Witten was less offensive to my ear.

I didn't realize until my wife told me last night that our basic cable subscription doesn't even carry ESPN anymore.
    Don't miss it.
I think she just wanted to catch a peek of OBJ's $2M watch! :)

What have you done for me lately.;)

I get that, but it's so damn apparent he can't lead the team any longer and has been.

BoB says it again that basically "we" don't know football and have never been behind closed doors in football. Anytime he gets questioned about stupid mistakes he becomes really arrogant.

Yep. Other than that, he's a 500 QB. Also, apart from YA Tittle back when I was in diapers, he is likely the best QB in franchise history...T

Bill ****ed up last year when he told the media in a fit that he would watch tape with them and some other ****. Didn't happen from what I remember. That was when his occasional better than thou attitude got old.

Why is this news? What did they expect him to say? "We're already watching film on Buffalo. It's the Jets, we don't need a game plan."?

I could see Belichick losing this game on purpose. lol

Or at least make it look like a close game for a little while.

No, he really has a strong dislike for the Jets organization.

If the Pats were leading 40-0 on the 50 yard line with 5 seconds left, he'd still have Brady throw a hail mary just to make it 48-0 (yes, he'd go for 2!).

Saints are better off than Steelers. Bridgewater made the Pro Bowl has a better offense (needs to gel with Thomas and how to use Kamara), better D (although Steelers traded for Fitzpatrick) and the Saints are still a playoff team.

    Mason Rudolph time! Weee

Wonder if he retires, he looks like he's aged a lot after last season's drama with AB and Bell.

    J-E-T-S

Should have permanently benched Manning 2 years ago when he benched himself for Geno Smith. WTF QB with any shred of confidence does that?
