I just received via email, voting papers for the upcoming FCA President election I usually bin these, but not this time It’s pretty obvious reading the submission from each candidate that there is only one choice. Vote Ian
I look forward to hearing the unpublished version of events I received a call from one candidate asking for my vote I tactfully told him to f&&k off Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
On a serious note, did anyone receive a call for nominations for the position of President by post? Has anyone received voting papers by post? The point being, the FCA has a postal address for every member BUT not every member has given the club an email address. If you could be bothered looking at the club constitution, Section 12.1 specifically states notices must be sent by post Incompetence or something more sinister? Vote Ian
I received by email yesterday the voting papers. 2 weeks ago received a phone call asking for my vote via proxy. Which was strange (but fine), until I asked who else was running for it.
Lol In spite of differing political ideologies, I believe you would always vote for a candidate with integrity Vote Ian
Most of you know what my involvement has been with the FCA for the past 15 years, so I have some perspective on these matters, I'll be voting for Ian. He's a person of integrity who puts the interests of the club and its members at the forefront.
I had exactly the same experience I am also yet to receive any voting paperwork in the mail Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I would be voting for Ian ......................................................... if I could get the foiking technology to work!!!
The FCA constitution is available on the clubs website at www. FCA.org.au From section 12 Notice of general meetings (includes the AGM) (1) The National Secretary of FCA, at least fourteen (14) days before the date fixed for holding a general meeting of FCA, must cause a notice to be sent by prepaid post to each member of FCA, at the address appearing in the list of members, or by other means if agreed with the member concerned. The notice must state the place, date and time of the meeting, and the nature of the business to be conducted at the meeting. The way I read it, notices have to be sent to members by post, unless each member agrees to receive it by other means. Have you agreed to receive it by other means ? I believe this applies to ALL AGM notices BTW.
I'd vote for Ian if I was a member....I let it lapse as I was never around when things were on....Must admit I get more enjoyment out of the Whomo drives.....
I usually shy away from the politics of the FCA, but given the recent potential litigation, general divisiveness and general issues that are so slow to get addressed, if they ever are..... We need a change! Desperately! I don't want to watch the club being torn apart again by ego driven megalomaniacs. We need a change. The things going on behind the scenes need to be eradicated. Please, do yourselves and the club a favour and vote for Ian. For once we actually get the opportunity to vote the right way instead of there only being one nomination. Stop the rot! Vote 1 Ian! Incidentally, Ian has been a member of the FCA for 33 years and is actually a car person, races and always helps with the concours judging. What he doesn't know about the club and the cars isn't worth knowing. After being on the committee for so many years it must have been something extraordinary that would have caused him to follow this route. Ian is a humble man who normally doesn't get caught up in politics, so for him to have thrown his hat in the ring is epic and of enormous benefit to the club. Stop the rot! Vote 1 Ian! Nothing against Grahame personally, I just feel Ian is the right man for the job.
