    That doesn't matter. The FCA have clearly stated that proxys should be sent to the National Secretary... which is logical and is logical with respect to governance.

    This is the reason given to me in writing (email, not paper): "As you probably know, our Club is incorporated in Victoria and Corporate Affairs Victoria states as follows: “Your association may also let a member inspect the minutes of committee meetings, but only if its rules allow it. A member does not have a general legal right to inspect minutes of committee meetings.” Unfortunately, I cannot see anywhere in our FCA Rules where this is allowed. "

    I'm a member of multiple car clubs, all of whom publish their committee minutes. Examples include HSRCA and VHRR.

    Don't assume this isn't an important issue. Another marque club I'm in had their treasurer abscond with the contents of their bank account - over $300K. Minutes provide a running commentary and early warning of risks.
