    "Just want to take a second to reassure you we are safe. We did not go to the Island on the weekend, where a lot of the trouble is, and will definitely not be going there tomorrow, when it is expected to be quite problematic, because of the China 70 year celebrations.

    The trains are running again this morning, stopping at all stations, including Wan Chai, so getting to the office will be ok. Normally by Monday morning the streets are all pretty well cleared of the detritus from the previous weekend’s clashes between protesters & police.

    Don’t worry, we are fine and continue to stay clear of the problem areas."

    "Good,I was wondering how it was all going there.

    Keep safe and hope you've a fair stash of single malt available."

    No, it's the collapse of WeWork. I met the CEO, Adam Neumann, 3 years ago (I'm a tenant of theirs in NYC) and I can safely say, I've never met a more obvious wanker. Somehow he fooled people into giving him a $47Bn valuation. Now one of the biggest corporate failures in US history. Market corrections usually begin with an event like this.
