You know, that was a terrible decision to go inside of the Cobra, he was lagging all day and that corner was not going to "be it" either!!!

    Thanks for the info Steve.

That fake „GTO“ is not even worth 1 million. It‘s not more than a converted 250 GTE.
    Headlines........

PS: And a real Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe would be at least 20 M $ or more. So it is all pure b.s.

That was a tiny little bump/rub, not more. Probably Dutch driver Nicky Pastorelli piloting the Roelofs-built GTO replica. The Cobra Coupe looks fake, based on the livery and shade of blue. One fake against another......
    And spectators pay for this.......
    Crazy world.

Body copies the long roof, no roof spoiler design of S1 to S2 Factory/Scaglietti rebodies of 250 GTOs 3413GT and 4675GT and has the similar, later and current nose details that were applied to 3413GT in period.

30 Mio against 7 (or 20?) Mio - good joke.

I guess both replicas are together not worth more than a hundredth of this sum (i. e. 370.000 $).

BTW: Does anybody know the builder of the Thomas/Wolfe Cobra Daytona fake? AFAIK it is not older than one year... (and was declared a "1965" car in the OGP).

    Greetings, Mick

The Roelofs car is build by the exact original Ferrari building sheets and mesurements. The engine is already being used by several original Swb and GTO Racers to save its original one. This is not a Cheap fake but a handcrafted built from a guy who is already an icon in the Ferrari (250) world for at least the last forty years.

Exact Ferrari build sheets could not have been used for the body as it is a copy of 3413GT with its modified nose.

Do you actually know if the chassis was built completely new by Roelofs or if the 4817 GTE chassis was adapted?

I believe the chassis was build by him, which was presented in a magazine, I believe it was Octane Magazine in Dutch.
But who cares how it is build, I have seen and heard the car several times live and its awesome, the rest is not important!
