The weird thing is that ABC 2 shows DLS time whereas their 21 and 22 channels (same programmes) show PROPER time.

 

I agree in principle but I have no shortage of sunshine here, however the majority of folks in regional Qld are tucked upin bed by 9:30 at the latest because they use the (cooler) morning hours of sunshine (many are up before 5:30 am each day). I go to bed around 11:30 and when I look out over the town, it’s all in darkness... We only come home in the dark for a few weeks of the year, in fact many ordinary workers wouldn,t experience it at all. I think you guys need to brush up on how latitude works...

 

I was under the impression farmers work by daylight and not a clock. How do the farmers cope in NSW??

 

Hmmm Karen I think brushing up on latitude is the last of my priorities in life....I hate to be the bearer of bad news but you live virtually on the NSW / QLD border which in layman’s terms is FA difference to Sydney...If you were living above or below N50 you would have an argument that you would win all day , everyday but you don’t so everything you have said is total BS....

Wayne Maher, the state manager for Budget Car and Truck Rentals, has seen some of the issues with international drivers first hand.

He said he has taken keys back from customers after assessing their driving abilities in the carpark.

"We want tourists, and it's our business, but through duty of care we've got to look after other people on the road and also our vehicles," Mr Maher said.

"There have been situations where literally they don't know how to drive at all — and that's right down to not knowing how to start the car.
