Yep. 4 down, 1 to go. Can't help but wondering if the life cycle of all the models will be cut down to three years at some point. Sure looks like that's all the F8 will get if you count 2019 as part of the F8life.

The problem is boy the life cycle. From my point of view it is they promote car 1,5year before delivery.. This means sue to long time delivery that u get your car while new model is coming... I have Portofino since 1 week... And now a new Portofino?

This is the mistake, I love new car and more model. I hate to get my car while new style is launching.

I assume pricing will be more than the Portofino but less than the F8. For me its difficult see the point of this car, the Portofino already does the job of a coupe and a spider. The only way a car like this could work is if its a stripped out front engine car the front engine equivalent of a Pista perhaps.

That’s a good shout. A bit like what Porsche did with the Cayman v Boxster. You would naturally expect the coupe to be cheaper than the open top but they instead chose a more hardcore driver theme and priced it above the Boxster. A front-engined V8 turbo with, say, 700 bhp and less weight and more hardcore chassis at the price of the 488 would yield decent margins and fill a product gap. Great idea I reckon.

It is not a new Porto, and unless you wanted a closed top in the first place, I don't see any downsides to your Porto. It's just a closed version. I would guess that boot space is on par and the rear seats are just as useless. It's definitely not going to compete with an actual 4 seater like the Lusso.

I think delivery times will be a bit shorter down the line for these cars, so you don't have to wait 18 months. That being said, 18 months is very long for a Porto. Did you get hit with any paint delays or the like?

Neil is spot on. Will be a V8. As to production runs, Ferrari is saying most new models are limited production (Pista, 812 GTS etc) versus limited edition or limited number. Ferrari has yet to define limited production. Why? If demand is exceedingly high and the car has a high margin, they can continue to produce them over less profitable or lower demand models.

simply put, this is what you call shareholder value!!

next month V8TT Portofino Coupè is confirmed (a ton of rumors makes it 100% confirmed). A friend told me, last Sunday, that the shape will be much different from the Portofino even if the base will be the same. Very likely it will have another name (Dino? No rumors here about the name, so I have no Idea, but everyone tells "no Dino", who knows). No hybrid: very likely it will be the last not electrified Ferrari new model.

Maybe Ferr9000 (who, trust me, knows the name) could help us to have an idea about the name

    ciao

    PS
    Lusso bye bye, finally

Rosso Portofino matter... Finally moved to rosso corsa.

If they change model it is OK, delivery time in my mind has to be max 12 month.

More than this... Or is bad organization or is a joke to keep customer waiting

Looks substantially smaller than Porto/Cali. If so, it could be very entertaining...
