I need to put the water pump housing back on the motor this weekend and forgot to get the O ring. Does anyone know the size? Thank in advance.
I had a recent thread on it, that showed the Ferrari part number, also the Tstat and tri flange gasket. I actually went to the dealer and bought them! $$$$$ In my early car its actually NOT an o ring, it's a channeled edge seal that rides the flange of the T stat. I suppose you could use a coating of Forma gasket and reuse your old one, unless it's badly cracked or actually broken??
34,59 x 2,62 mm. Sounds exotic, but it's a standard size. At least over here in the metric world. Since it's for hot coolant, it must be made from EPDM. Not the more common NBR. Best from Germany Martin
Just a quick look on the internet I come to realize that is pretty standard size across the pond... I guess will convert it and hit the local stores to try and get one. Thank you
I forgot to mention; BigTex is talking about the thermostat gasket and thermostat cover gasket. I assume you meant the 0-ring between waterpump/ thermostat housing and engine block. That's what I referred to with my post above. Best from Germany Martin
