F430 top problems

    Have replaced the 3 hydraulic cylinders in my 2005 F430 spider top front left and right due to leaks .The other 2 cylinders in the body of the car do not appear to leak but the tonneau cover will not completely close on my folded top.According to mechanic next step is to replace the non-leaking cylinders. Did buy new ones at Ricambi but new mechanic in Florida says rebuilt are better when he does them.Any other thoughts on the top malfunction.

    Has the centre bar in the middle of the roof, retracted? The elastics that loop around it, and pull it back, break and the bar stays up and does not allow the material to fold correctly and doesn’t trigger the close switch properly. Just have a look, as mine had the same problem.

    Thank you all for the advice, I appear to have the same problem with the center bar (or would at least like to rule it out if not)

    Does anyone have a picture that is not so zoomed in? I can't seem to find this bar, not sure where I'm supposed to be looking
