I like the scenes with Katsumoto. His serious demeanor is comical at times compared to Magnum’s devil may care attitude.

 

Yup, in a throwback scene this past week, finally watched my DVR. Magnum and Higgins got a little "close" there for a minute

LOVED seeing the original TC make his cameo a few back...too bad Selleck is so against it. Maybe if y'all asked him real nice like...

 

For what it is I actually think the show is pretty darn good. It's slowly developing it's own personal and it's just a fun show to watch. Where else can I see Ferrari's driving around in a TV show? More shows should do cool stuff like that.

 

No comments on the new season? Bobby Lee in episode 2 was hilarious. And of course personally I loved all the screen time the California got so that he could tag along (even though there are "baby seats" roomier than the back seat of a California). Only thing missing was a car chase with him flying around in the back. @papou feel free to use that idea.

 

Seems like we are seeing less and less of the 488, but maybe it is my imagination.

 

I think the show is spot on if you go back and watch the original. The characters, especially Rick and TC, the dialogue and script are just as simple and campy as before. Magnum's narrating is verbatim in style and tone. The cases, interaction with HPD, and scenery are great. The police chief is hilarious, and Higgins works, as well as Kuma fits in.

My only small issue is Magnum himself. The actor just doesn't fit in appearance. He is not a 40-medal wearing ex-SEAL, former POW, get your hands dirty, beer-drinking, rule-breaking PI, who is free-loading at Robin's estate. Too polished and clean.

 

What about Ice Pick, is he on the show too?

 

yes he was in 1 episode last year.

 

I liked the most recent episode the best. Guests trying to kill Magnum. Higgins

Ml6 skills saved the day. Now Magnum and Higgins are partners.

 

Yes, that was a a great episode. Lots of 488 content also, and a few snaps of the Cali. I just hope their newfound partnership stays "professional"...

 

I think the writers are fighting hard to save their jobs. If ratings go down, they will pair up Thomas and Higgins, move them to the mainland and re-brand the show as a reboot of Hart to Hart with a new “unsponsored” Ferrari in the background

 

Then they can both get reverse mortgages on their new digs, thanks to the real Magnum

 

I agree; his character is really growing. This past Friday was saw a personal side of him.

 

we enjoyed this episode the most so far.

 

Loved it. One could see how conflicted his character was investigating his fellow detectives and how empathetic he was towards the guilty cop when he was going to shoot himself in the head.

Visiting his sister's grave was an especially touching moment. Great idea for the writers to expand on the supporting characters' stories.

 

The show has really grown on me. At some point I’m assuming a crossover show with Hawaii 5-0.

 

5-0 is much more shoot-em-up. And much more tongue in cheek. Magnum could use more of both IMVHO'

 

We start shooting the crossover episode at the end of the month,I’ll post some pics when I get them..

Keep up the great work. I want more . Though I loved when John Hillerman used to say: “Oh my god, ...”
I like that some of the original cast members are on the show too.
