With Instagram and spotters groups, I usually see a lot of pictures of vintage Ferraris. I thought it would be nice to have a dump thread for all the vintage pics you find/see/are sent.

Today a friend sent me this one.

It's gorgeous. I typically prefer the covered headlights but this one is absolute beautiful.

Unless I am very much mistaken that is the ex Miles Davis car I sold from Motorcar Gallery to Adrian Hamilton for a client of his around 2003. I still remember Adrian on the phone asking me (about the transaction) "what are the rules of engagement?" Meaning as in a duel:)

That car had iirc come from Venezuela where Ed Waterman has his sources. It was cut soon after in the UK.

I recall when Ed had it, at the time it was pretty inexpensive I think<300K USD?

Well back in those days they were of course just six figure cars and it must be said that one was very tired and a bit rough. This is why the Brits who wanted to cut one picked it. Your price recollection seems about right but I don't remember prices as well as other data.

Ed later had a gorgeous nocciola (iirc) 4 cam he sold to an Argentine living in Miami, that car was spectacular.

Love the two cam by the Dorchester, a bit classier than the green thing next to it and other over the top thingies.

Marc the number I remember was $265,000. Ed also had a spectacular blue 4cam(Azzurro met.?) around that time that went to Al Guggisberg in Switzerland.

The four cam was 10307 and Azzurro Met with Arancia interior and ex James Page and Waterman sold it June 2000 to Oldtimer-Garage Ltd/Al Guggisberg in Switzerland. Waterman made a profit of $ 20 K on that fourcam.
