So the blue one was before my time.

Orange seats in a light blue car:eek:?!

Guggisberg and Ed did quite a lot of trade both ways.

I think Ed had the nocciola car for quite a long time. Every morning I would pass his old showroom on my way to my office and the morning sun would be blazing down on that car, as he had it parked right in the window with full eastern exposure. It was a beautiful sight but I always wondered if the sun must have been taking its toll.

The color combination worked, it was a beautiful 4cam.

The old place leaked like a sieve, I recall visiting during a rainstorm and there were buckets everywhere. Ed always had great cars.

Yes it did and during the real estate boom many greedy real estate brokers came in seeing only the buckets thinking they could buy the place for a song...so I would Gently point their eyes to the cars, which they cluelessly thought were worthless and indicate their value from lowest finishing with four cam or 500 Superfast and they would turn pale, their hopes dashed...then I would deliver the coup De grace, the sword in the bulls back of the neck: "By the way he owns several blocks here" Then they would hastily retreat:D Except the well named Jolie, prettiest realtor I ever met whom I dated briefly:)

He sold the real estate bang at the right time too:) Tall condos there now.

Ed is as sharp as they come and he has exquisite taste in cars. Speaking of exquisite taste why not post some photos of Jolie?

I have been to Ed's twice and on one of those trips you were working there.

Is this you in this photo ?

Yes, it was very interesting to observe how his mind works.

No photos of Jolie alas but she was a heck of a flirt and very witty: I had my Khamsin in a warehouse 200 meters away and one day, since she was showing some curiosity about the classics, I said would you like to see
    my Maserati?
Looking me straight in the eyes she said:
Are you talking about a car? :D:p

So that was late June 2003. The 330 GTS was #10759. We shipped it back to the UK and went right through it. Would like to know where is is now as I found the original hand brake lever for it.

I clearly remember is was VERY VERY hot and sweaty. Vincenzo & I did a compression test on it in the showroom. We literally sweated all over the engine.

Here are a couple more pictures taken that day:

    Time warp!
I sold the Benetton B 191 to the Indianapolis museum.
One day before that I had it flatbedded to a track day at Moroso to try to find a buyer.
Major collector the late Benny Caiolla NYC based Italian sat in it then said in his strong accent if I buy it Montezemolo won't sell me no cars no more!

Ed got used to his late hours being a musician in his youth, he did the nightshift at M C G:)

Was that track day during a Brian Redman event? If so I saw it there. Benny was there too with his SP.

Dead right Andrew, I was just trying to remember who hosted the day. Of course when I called Brian ahead of time to ask permission he was most gracious.

Benny once gave me a ride in his F40LM, with harness but when I reached for the dashboard to brace myself under braking he said No worrrrrie:)

Here is a famous visitor stopping by M C G, Eddie Irvine. He himself used to own a Daytona, great guy, saw him again at Monaco Historic GP last year and he was very friendly. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Mark contact Ed directly (he still spends time there but shorter hours) and let him know about the hand brake. He will be able to inform whomever bought it...if they still own it is another question.

Yes Florida is a steam room between late May and late October...which travel agents here in the old world neglect to tell clients...best time to see Florida in my humble opinion is actually May when days are long, snowbirds and winter crowds are gone, temperature is right and the humidity has not arisen but that is also when to enjoy spring in Europe so...late March April are ok too.

I would be wary of driving it around in Virginia with those Montana plates.
