Love your picture #6, showing the separation of the gearbox necessary for a clutch job! I think a lot of non-owners (or potential owners) aren't aware of the labor necessary for a clutch replacement, and why the 'since you're already in there...' approach to changing parts like a release bearing, position sensor, etc. usually makes sense.
Thank you, I absolutely agree. I think it is very useful to see how this is done even for people who own the cars. For sure, it is not only cost effective to replace other parts since it is already apart but also keeps the car running longer and longer.
Not really. You can see the clutch a bit but you cannot say how much life is left in it. The 430 has 2 clutch plates and they wear unevenly.
