    I dare them to build a 660 PS V6 version then:D

I was actually wondering if they might bring back something as simple as "Sport". A number or name followed by "Sport" like back in the late 40'a like the 125 Sport.

Would work well for a "compact" 2+2 of this type.

    Regarding to the name:
Some of them are kind of close and some of them very far.
    It’s easier than we think.

Can’t say more since there are still lot of days before the official launch.

I doubt that will go down well with their Romanian clients. A bit of WWII history in that name. In these ùber political correct times, that would be too big of a risk.

    "Come si chiama" SWB.

In other words, no idea on the name, but I think they're gonna slip SWB in there somewhere. [emoji2]

f169 is the second Ferrari with "nextgeneration" modular platform... how many more?

I think that F171 already has a carbon fiber platform.

next generation of 812, carbon or aluminium?

Yesterday I saw a GTC4 Lusso in Blu Pozzi with cognac colored interior ... what a car, what a V12 sound! The rear view is especially great.
Even with some space for more. A real Gran Turismo! In my opinion we need to talk more about whether this new little coupe with the V8 engine will be a true Gran Turismo. For me a real GT must have an V12 engine. Some weeks ago, I saw a Portofino... no, no... sound is not so good!

True. But not at the same time;) I would not be surprised if Peugeot already owns the rights to the 608 name on a car and have done for the past 20 years:)

Aluminium. They have too much invested in the aluminium stuff to go CF.

They should apply aluminium because they are convinced it’s the best solution available to meet their needs respectively the customer needs and not just because they invested heavily in it some time ago. Investments are not for eternity.

The unveiling is Rome / Vatican City - perhaps there is a street or place within Vatican City that
will be part of the name?

Something interesting I was asked today, and a question I would ask here and see what people think.

Seeing that the Porto coupé seems to lodge itself in between the mid engined cars and the Porto, in terms of price and possibley to a degree "prestige" I suppose. What is the general thoughts on how the Porto coupé will affect the value of the Porto and ageing Cali/Cali T?

I wondering if this car will exist alongside the Porto Cabrio or if it will push it further down the Ferrari food chain? Not trying to bash the Porto here, just putting some thoughts in writing, as it is no secret that there is a gap between the V12FR/MR V8 cars and the Porto/Cali cars in terms of how they are perceived within the Ferrari community. I'm wondering whether or not the Porto coupé will widen this gap and if that will affect the value and depreciation of the Porto/Cali further?

Personally I'm not really sure until I see the car. If the performance figures and price are significantly different from the Porto, I suspect that it could indeed widen the gap and force the Porto/Cali prices down as they might lose their appeal and prestige. But if it's similar, I would think that they would co-exist as a coupé and a cabrio are two different demographics.

All and any thoughts are welcome:)

    Those are interesting thoughts.

My hope is to have 2 V8 FM cars akin to the two V12 FM; one is slightly more luxurious and usable and the other more performance oriented. Basically, my hope is that the V8 Coupe is a ‘mini-812’ although I have no insights/knowledge that it will be that, just a hope.

However the description in the invitation seems to imply that it’s all about beauty and luxury, all we can do is speculate until the reveal (something I enjoy doing).

Was told by my dealer this may not be the Portofino Coupé to be released mid-november, but FUV. Production of Lusso was stopped, and the new car will be produced instead of Lusso. For those who know Ferrari production lines and how the plant is organized (V12 upper floor, V8 lower floor), do you believe the Portofino Coupé on V12 lines where the most experienced and best operators are working ? I am not sure...
