They are streaming the race on twitch if you live in some parts of Europe. Of course if you have a VPN you can also watch it on twitch Hopefully the "co-streaming" nonsense is between sessions. Image Unavailable, Please Login
STROLL in the wall, red flag to fix the barriers in the final corner, STR back in the pit, about 28 minutes to go. Damp track. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Was what I was really referring to. For a long time Charles pretty much stayed away from the MED, even in practice. Last couple races he has been putting more time in on them. Hopefully that means progress on race pace, not just 1 lap speed.
The thing is, it doesn't really count as long as his car (the Ferrari) is unable to consistently compete for the first place...
True - but a sad way to compete is to make mistakes with a good but not perfect car, and make it more so difficult.
Based on tire wear and times overall this will look alot like Singapore potentially. A max effort to preserve position with early tire management before the first box stops.
tire management, chance of rain, higher altitude... Let's just say Ferrari on pole, first man around turn 1 will walk away in a glorious Fiesta de Tire Degradation!!
This tire management and pit strategy is BS racing. Let the drivers finish on how good they drive. What happened to all out racing?
Evidence the tires wont support it. Many will run the Hard compound I think now. Medium and Soft are possibly too soft??? Or degrade due to the surface and stress placed on them by the F1 cars. Poll might matter until the tires drop off.
At the demand of the FIA, addicted to pit stops, Pirelli manufactures tyres with high degradation. If the tyre manufacturer had a different brief, they could perfectly make tyres that would last the distance.
