812 GTS Allocation

Status is not displayed on Myferrari. You have to get that info from the dealer

 

Hi guys, just noticed today the 812 is in 'MyFerrari' and it says 'ordered' but also status is 'waiting list'

I signed an order form and paid a deposit about two months ago but haven't yet spec'ed the car. Does anyone know what to make of my status in 'MyFerrari'...does that mean order accepted? I heard that if it's in 'My Ferrari' it means it's in MODIS system so it's happening... but 'waiting list' seems contradictory...

Any info appreciated!

 

I wouldn’t worry about it. My Pista was still listed as “waiting list” at the MyFerrari website for several weeks after beginning construction per Modis. The photos lag reality by several weeks, too, in my experience.

Me too. Mine turned up at the dealer and MyFerrari still said 'WAITING LIST'.

Are there still any allocations available in your dealer?
What were the requirements to give you an allocation (V12 ownership, etc.)?

I believe North America still has no allocations yet.

That is correct and will likely be several months before we do.

 

My dealer has confirmed the same - no allocators and not taking any deposits. Just on the list waiting...and waiting

My deposit placed. No date for allocation.

 

Talked to my dealer couple of weeks ago, after the (bad) experience of previous model allocations not matching customer demand they changed the ordering process. Dealers have to load into a new platform customer contact once contract is signed and deposit paid, Ferrari allocates after a number of cars to the dealer on the basis of number of contracts.

 

Could that setup a scenario where a contracted customer does not receive an allocation?

 

I think yes, but first customers paying a deposit and signing contracts may have more chances to get one. And more orders the dealer will have more cars will be allocated to him. Reasons dealers are chasing clients, note that originally the condition was to have 3 Ferrari cars to be eligible. Then it was requested to have at least one V12 Ferrari, and now doesn’t seem to be a must have.

 

This is all consistent with what my dealer is saying. I have a deposit down and contract signed, but they stopped short of guaranteeing me an allocation until they find out how many allocations they will get and if there are any specific prior ownership requirements. They are not expecting answers to these questions for another 4-6 months.

A V12 Ferrari sans roof is one of the seemingly un-reachable items in my life that now, amazingly, seems within reach. The 812SF was just part of the admission. So, es macht nichts (does not matter) -- admission dutifully paid.

Been thinking about this GPF issue. Why cant Ferrari ship all cars with GPF and then have the various dealers in countries who don't care about GPF have a factory sanctioned "kit" that removes the GPF and re-programs the ecu etc.

This would allow Ferrari to ship all cars ex-factory with GPF and avoid any issues and then charge "drug-money" (as per usual) to have the dealer remove the system and still maintain warranty etc.

Love the idea but perhaps unrealistic from a PR standpoint...’large car company allows (wealthy) customers to pay to remove anti-pollution filters’

 

Nope - "Small bespoke manufacturer allows customers to upgrade their cars based on their countries rules, providing tailored motoring" - You can spin it anyway u like

 

There is precident in the form of the gas guzzler tax. Emissions, Particulate and Decible Nastiness Tax Act of 2025 perhaps?

 

One of the Porsche exhaust mfg is working on a work around for the GT3s already. Just waiting for actual cars to dicker with. No doubt the workaround is also in progress on the Ferrari side, though in Europe it may be illegal to remove for a non track car.

 

Any confirmed allocation in Canada?
What was the requirement to be considered?
