Hi all, Now that the a/c is working properly in my 91 348 I am trying to get rid of the intermittent E1 fault. Manual says that it is the cabin temp sensor. I am trying to locate it. Is it behind the grill n the lower bolster drivers side. If so how do I remove the bolster? I have already tried the cleaning, and resetting of the cabin control unit. As always, thanks for all your help.
Yes. Item 31. https://www.ricambiamerica.com/car-diagrams/ferrari/v6-v8/348-group/348-1989-1992/instruments.html Can you hear the fan running on the sensor? Not sure how you'd get to it. Perhaps you could give it a shot of electrical spray or MAF cleaner if there is a build up of dust on the sensor? Some of the wiring goes to the control panel. The plug on the back of the centre console HVAC control panel can be problematic. Make sure it's secure. See Item 72/89 in the wiring diagram below for sensor wiring: F348 HVAC Wiring Diagram
Don't you reach under the lower dash< I can feel mu dash vents and those are above the sensor. I bet you can get to it if you remove the gauge pod.
i added this to my list of things to replace so i checked into dash removal as it seems the sensor is imbeded in the lower pad. I foumd this, hope it helps. http://clubscuderia.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?8952-348-355-Dash-Removal-Procedure Sent using FerrariChat.com mobile app
