Good job!
Showing my boat ripped apart. Just started the major 1000hr service. 4 after coolers and 2 heat exchangers pulled with all the plumbing. The plumbing fills the back of a pickup. It's dipped, gasket surfaces cleaned and painted. Everything looked good coming apart which is always a relief as it's $'s cubed if there is an issue. Makes the engine out I used to get for my355 seem like a good deal. Anxious to get it back together. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Just sold one of our Rivas back to Lake Tahoe.....delivered it just on the cusp of a snowstorm......straight into the boathouse. Image Unavailable, Please Login
In the middle of the boat, under the sun pad. This old pic from 1987 sort of shows it......under the raised hatch cover. Image Unavailable, Please Login And BTW; the motor is not original to the boat, the PO had a very rare Holman Moody Ford 351C installed......so he could pull his sons up on singles @ Tahoess' 6200' elevation! Brings back memories of the 1000 hours service on my boat with twin 900 hp MANs the engines were great but this service is not cheap..
Thanks for the sympathy. The good news is that there weren't any surprises. The boat is back together. Sea trialing it this Friday and then detail the engine. Lot's of touch up paint on the bolts. Side note- The people I've talked to said the Ft Lauderdale boat show was flat this year. Attendance was down even though the weather was good. Just didn't seem to have the buzz of past years.
