FORMULA 1 EMIRATES UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX 2019: RACE ▀▄▀▄ SPOILERS ▀▄▀▄

After looking at the TV shots inside the F1 teams, it appears that so many of the F1 people are young, ie out of University. Makes me wonder if the talent scouts in these F1 teams are picking the best directly from school, and putting them to work in high level / high pressure jobs.

Well, my friend Kevin Russell of Shinyribs dropped the key, to sing it!!
You try hitting those high notes with out it....

Then as he paused for a beat, I wondered if he cleared his throat off mic, to continue....but truthfully, I think it might have been for Coon Ass efiect!!

His full band from Austin was on a COTA stage,...... again....someone maybe stretching the contract too far??
But as above I could sing along from 50' away....I was proud of him.

Watch it again with that in mind.....the Military singers (I'm sure available) do it a little more straight up.

They are pulling management from Disneyland and as you see the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders…..not a racer in the room....

 

I hated the flags as they are not supposed to hit the floor....they littered the stands.
Another bad idea...

We were dumbfounded...the guy who had motioned me into his spare two Start/Finish line seats could only say: "What the *&^(*&" and send his wife off for more beer....

I'm just back from Austin and subsequent trip to Nashville.
We had a fun time at the race... despite Ferrari's crappy performance.

Highlight of the weekend> Daniel Ricciardo (and family) were on our Southwest Airlines flight from Austin to Nashville!
Crazy seeing him lined up with the rest of us peasants. I believe he was A43 in line. ;-)

We seemed to be the only people who recognized him.
We said hello, congratulated him on a great race and asked if I could take pic of him with my wife.
(She adores Danny Ric)
Said he was going to Nashville for a bit of R&R.
