    https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/147107/new-engine-for-leclerc-in-brazil-takes-grid-penalty

Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc will take a new engine for the penultimate round of the Formula 1 season in Brazil, taking a grid penalty as a result.

Leclerc had suffered an oil leak during third practice at the preceding United States Grand Prix, which forced him to revert to an older specification of the engine for the rest of the weekend.

This left him "slightly down" on power en route to a distant fourth place in the race.

Ferrari theoretically had the option of fixing and re-fitting Leclerc's oil leak-stricken power unit, but in the lead up to the Brazilian Grand Prix team principal Mattia Binotto confirmed the "damaged" Leclerc engine that had suffered the leak would be replaced by a new power unit.

This indicates Leclerc will incur a minimum 10-place grid penalty in Interlagos for an ICE change, as it will mark the first time he has used a replacement ICE this season that was not within his allocation of three for the campaign.

Should Ferrari fit a new MGU-H or turbo as well, it would mean at least a further 10-place penalty, and would automatically resign Leclerc to a back-of-the-grid start.

Ferrari has not confirmed whether the new unit fitted to Leclerc’s car will be the same spec as the one he had begun the Austin weekend with, or a further evolution that will serve as a 2020 prototype – the debut of which had been reported as a possibility for Interlagos.

    Spec 3 or Spec 4?

So if leclerc gets everything replaced, he will likely be starting at the back of the grid, what around Sochi with the number of grid place penalties he will incurred!!

    stupid!!!!

And any of this matters at this point?

And by the way, Vettel still sucks.

    Long live King Charles!

Im happy to see a race lol. Does F1 matter in the large scheme..........no

Sometimes these last races are entertaining, as drivers can be free of title worries etc. Racing might be more sharp and the mid field is not completely sorted. Parts tested for next year etc etc..........

I enjoy Interlagos, but these last rounds of 2019 hold the collective anticipation of a Kubica practice lap. Hopefully the rain will magically appear or Pirro will assign five lap penalties to the top 6 for parade lap irregularities.

The off track activities can also be entertaining or dangerous.

It would always be great if all ten teams were still fighting for the driver and constructor titles up to the final lap of the final race.....but in reality that doesn't happen. I'm still an F1 fan no matter what, so looking forward to the racing.

I hope that you have realised that from the first race, there are only 3 teams (at most) fighting for the title(s), and 7 following to catch the crumbs left behind.

Racing is interesting to watch in the mid-field too.
