It may indeed look better in person but it doesn't come across great because aside from essentially good lines there's no visceral attractiveness to it. It doesn't seem to have much of a character aside from just being a coupe version of the PF. So yes, if that's what buyers want or need, it does the trick. But aside from that, this car brings nothing remarkable.

I haven't said anything about the SF90 because it brings a lot of new features to the Ferrari market and I'm still not sure how those features will work out so I prefer not to guess, unlike the Roma which is a conventional platform.

It's a proven bad idea for a company with high brand cachet to ditch too many design cues with new cars, because to do so means it also ditches some of that brand value. OTOH, if the brand image is tired and worn out (boring) it should change it but it's not good to do too much and give the impression that the brand needs a complete makeover. I suspect management just wants to add new models to broaden revenue base and the in-house design team is trying to distance the company from Pininparina, too quickly.

imo it does look an awful lot like a new aston vantage - but i would give the aston the nod for better rear end.

my other observation is that it looks a little like a 456, and therefore like a daytona....

Main competitors in the market segment are:

the best looking car in that line up is the DB11. the superleggera is even better. and the vantage is pretty cool too.

I posted already earlier that (apparently) the price will be only 1.4% higher than the Portofino.

at the very least, it looks miles and miles better than the portofino imo. the portofino looks like an amorphous blob asian design car to my eyes.

now I really don't get it. much more value with the hardtop convertible over the coupe. I can see roma as the price leader to get people into the brand for 1st time. or more expensive if it was a real performance version like a pista over 488. but just some style differences and slight performance to give up roof makes no sense to me regardless how nice roma looks

About the new Blu Roma color the factory states:

"Blu Roma is inspired by the nightlife in the Eternal City - the hues of its elegant historic palazzos and dynamic glints of the blue water that runs in its enchanting fountains. A deep, intense colour with a whiff of mystery and expectation about it, it was created using a new low temperature painting technology."
