Love the V8 design. But hot damn, that is a lot of money. Will make for some interesting projects, but surely the DIY people have been spending less than this for similar results (whilst not being as pretty).
A bit soon for that, I think. It's only 240 bhp, and I'd wager the whole kit weighs more than an ICE, even with half a tank of fuel.
I’m thinking of this in a different way; not for hot rods but for recycling of existing car shells - there’s a thread in silver about it.
If petrol became scarce or I had rooted engine with no chance of rehab, I'd go for this. I'd miss the noise and the range, but the "art" would live on. OTOH, I don't see the point of keeping the gearbox. I suppose you'd just keep it in 5th.
