Why? It needs a full resto and colour isn't original. Price was right

 

It did look very... white. I assume the original colour was more cream (and just don't go there)

Wow! That's a very odd colour change - usually it was Resale Red back in the day

 

Probably ran out of money and undercoat only

 

my 246 went from original green to white in the late 70's. These cars usually needed rust repairs by the time they were 5 years old so were often repainted. I found 4 different colour layers when I restored it in 1988. Imagine a 15 year old car needing a full restoration today...
