He is not. Try walking into a dealer and ordering a Pista Spider. There is also a rumor here that there will be a 812 VS GTS as a LE. Not sure who started that but it is still a rumor.
GTS is also used as a production series. I doubted they will use on a VS "open top" what make you think Ferrari doesnt call 812 Spider/Aperta?
No premium on Pista coupe in UK now despite advertised prices. I see 812 VS following same pattern assuming not limited numbers. Don't have a real issue with it. Only 7 years ago I passed on a 599 GTO at £230k.
I I think that only Pista Spider will appreciate in price due to limited prod number of cars ( 700-800 )
I personally believe very few Ferraris will retain value, much less appreciate, moving forward. The die has been cast. Discounted secondhand cars are barely trading despite the background bouyant stock market. Just imagine what a true economic downturn could do to residuals. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The result of over production and over pricing sprinkled with speculative interest. Moving forward the latter may start to subside but sadly no end in sight for the former two.
Dream on re Pista Spider, is soft already. Game has changed. I love the Tdf and it’s on a journey to halve in value in 24 months.
Many of us have been around long enough to know that the car market moves in cycles, there is a time to buy and sell. I am starting to see some really good deals out there but just waiting on the dust to settle before I commit to anything. I am referring to older (not too old), more limited cars, i.e. TDF, Super America, Speciale, 16m, etc. Same for some other marques. By the time I die my kids can benefit from the appreciation and I get to drive them in the meantime.
If this is the car I found on the web (looking by curiosity), at an asked price of £330K it does not leave much (if any) profit to the first owner... This might be a good thing if it discourages speculators from future Ferrari VS, but it could also become challenging for Ferrari because they may end up with less interested customers.
Interesting to see the very pronounced flanks on the side of the car, much more than standard car, also modified (double diffuser) I think the wing on the rear deck is nothing more than pressure monitoring equipment, all suggests Ferrari is working really hard to squeeze as much aero gain as possible with this car, sure it will have a few more holes and bigger turning vanes by the final sign off, combined with usual lightweight treatment, a formula that has always worked....Hope it’s not limited so we can all get one....this will be awesome.... Yes seen a few cycles, I think the fundamentals may be different this time for reasons stated ad nauseam on here. We will see. Your kids will probably flog the inventory asap ! I work with many educated kids they don’t “do cars”. Off to spec my GTS Friday at Atelier ! Glutton for punishment.
