Hah! Had my "food coma" early, so woke up in time for FP1.

Yet another goof by the "experienced" (sic) red car driver.
(But then, FP1 and FP2 are the time to find the limits. Provided you don't break the hardware.)

(Schumi used to run up to the break point in practice, then drove the race just short of that point lap after lap after lap.)
(But if you break the car, the rebuild will have slightly different performance. So you lose what you learned.)

 

End of seasonitis syndrome here obviously...

GO Bottas lol Well......from the back of the grid it seems He has the luxury of new power unit to make the most of it in practice and qualy.

 

I'll never understand how Vettel is able to circumvent the rule of one helmet design exception per year.

I'll also never understand why that rule was created in the first place.

 

I think he simply does it without asking permission.
I suppose he can afford the fine.

A few ideas for instance,

 

They can change the design as long as the basic layout is the same. Vettel's helmets are always white (or whiteish) with stripes.

Yes, it's a stupid rule and a stupid circumventing of the rule. Although I never liked that drivers changed helmets.

 

Verstappen is on fire ! Best time in 3rd practice session, before the 2 Mercs.
Max posted his best time in the dying minutes.
Will he do the same in qualifs?

 

I don’t like Max, but it’s good to see Redbull up in the mix. Fingers crossed this bodes well for a three team race at the top next year!!

 

Yep, Max and Leclerc should be big players next year to challenge the stablished order.
