My 1988 3.2 only has 10,212 miles and has been sitting for more than 8 years in storage with out being started. I've gone through all the electronics and braking system before having a shop return it to running condition.
Looking for a shop familiar with Mondials and specifically engine out service. After speaking with two different shops which didn't have enough knowledge, I am reaching out to the community.
I don't mind travailing anywhere in the northeast with my flatbed for a worthy competent shop.
I need some simple aftermarket mods such as exhaust and coil packs done as well.
    Dominicks white plains NY?
    AutoElite NJ?
    Black Horse Automotive CT?
    Many Thanks!!

I was wondering the same. On a 3.2, most everything needed to service the motor can be done without removing it from the car. I'm sure there are exceptions, but I'm betting it isn't necessary.

Not well. It was designed to be removed.

On a car this old that has been sitting for so long and I had no prior or recent history with I would insist on removal.

I stand corrected. I highly respect your opinion after reading your responses to other issues and finding them informative and insightful.

Also Pocono Sports Cars would be best choice. He was the right hand guy of the head of technical services at FNA when those cars were built.

There appears to have been a small intake fire at one time, the wiring against the firewall needs to be inspected and checked.

When I had my Mondial 8's major done last year I had the engine removed so he could do a better job at everything. Next time, since I know what the car is like and it's been properly gone through, i will probably have him do it with the engine in so it's a tad less involved.

Maybe not, lol. If its been sitting in a garage for 30 years it will probably still need most of the things the one you have does!
