My best friend's brother-in-law, the biggest Cowboys fan that I know, predicted that Garrett would be fired on Friday if they had lost. I told him I thought that Jones would keep him on until year's end, but I think that Garrett will be toast at that time. But he thinks that the next Cowboys' head coach will be.....Dabo Swinney!

What the Dolphins lack in talent, they make up for with heart. They do not look like a team that is "tanking"!

There seem to be an awful lot of placekicks being missed by a lot of normally reliable kickers, both in college and the pros.....

Stephen A. Smith picked his Five Best Teams in the NFL today, and the Patriots were NOT among them!

Totally agree. Their ownership held a full on fire sale at the start of the season. They totally stunk at a historic level for the first few weeks. I would have guessed that they would have folded the tents a la Browns of a few years ago. Among the 3 Florida teams, I think their fans have to be the most optimistic for the near future. Fins are gonna stink for a while, but brighter days on the horizon if they can turn some of those picks into cheap, young talent and then get a few vets to supplement. Brian Flores deserves a ton of credit.

    Not shocking.

They've been talking here about how they are the strangest 10-1 team they've ever seen.

    Fixed that for you

    Lincoln Riley>Dabo

That punter-to-kicker goal line touchdown was awesome

Further to your point. This team is going nowhere this year, why not try something crazy like this.

I think it is usually a mistake to fire a coach in the middle of the year. Only positive is you can see if the assistant you make head coach can take over effectively. You gain nothing as far as hiring an outside coach.

Even Freddie Kitchens at Cleveland shouldn’t be fired mid season even though he wore that stupid Tshirt to the Pittsburgh game saying they didn’t start the fight in the previous game. He should be fired...at the end of the season. Baker Mayfield keeps regressing. A new coach every year isn’t good for Mayfield. His numbers are about the worst in the NFL. The further he gets from Riley the worse he becomes.

I think they should have hired Gregg Williams as a full-fledged head coach instead of Kitchens.

Well, now you're talking ancient history. I don't think that anyone realized at the time how good a coach he would become.

The Jets proved once again that they are a "sad sack" organization. That's twice that a previously winless team got a "W" at their expense. How the heck did they ever beat the Cowboys?

Speaking of great coaches how about John Harbaugh. Benched Flacco, completely changed his offense, and became a winning team. My vote for coach of the year.

Well, could be because they aren't?

SF, Baltimore, Seattle, New Orleans, KC. << we will see when KC plays them this week.

NE is like a lot of 'good-yet-so-so teams', such as Buffalo, GB, Minn, Rams,
the one team that confounds me is Chicago, WTF? To me, that is BAD coaching.
Like Dallas - TONS of talent, yet don't play to the talent level.

NE needs bonifide, certified deep threat, they cannot win much longer without it.
I see a lot of WR's on that team not coming back next season, they were signed to be
great, but they cannot create separation.

    Nobody knew.

    Precisely.

Again, nobody knew. TONS of GREAT defensive coaches/coordinators have been
promoted to Head Coach, do you know what we call most of them today?
    Former Head Coaches.
    The list is LONG.
