I saw it too Peter, but I think, for a few euro's more you have so much better BBR-wheels. And when you look at the central wheel-locks, they are all pointing in the same direction, that's wrong.
Great price, but the wheels might be a little too small in diameter. Carmodel shows them as 21.5mm. Note that on BBR, Matrix, Hot Wheels Elite, and a few other brands, their wheels are all a little larger at 23.5mm. And it does make a difference.
Yes, tires also do not look too good. Overall, I guess it's a situation of "you get what you pay for."

Yes, have seen this advertised. Overall it looks great. This is very expensive tooling. With all the behind the scenes goings on in the model car industry; sharing, selling, and stealing.... I would have to say that there must have been some sort of deal cut with someone to use the existing CMC tooling for this piece especially since it is not a completely brand new type of model. Obviously the level of detail has been downgraded - most noticeable on the interior. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with this, and it does represent a great value, and I'm very tempted to buy one even though I already have the CMC model. And yes, it will affect values of the CMC transporters in some circles, except for collectors who want the ultimate with the most detail.
I believe it was also Norev that made it in 1/18 but this one looks a lot better....i agree that for the price and for those who wanted the CMC this is a great option!
This news came out just as I was swapping the wheels on my KK-Scale 365 California spider for BBR ones. Here's the result. I also shaved a few millimeters off the top of the windscreen mould. For less than 100 euro and a bit of time spent, I think the result is well worth it. It's saved me a lot of money compared to the BBR California! I've seen it at a car show recently. For a Technomodel, it's not bad. But it had to be better than usual with such an exposed engine. It's approaching Looksmart territory, but not GP Replicas. Hope this helps. BTW I'm holding out for a wingless version of the 312 F1, my all time favorite monoposto!
Frankly, comparing the photos of the Bandini car, to me the Tecnomodel example looks better than the GP Replicas one! Does anyone concur?
I've applied another BBR set of Borrani wire wheels (this time on the 400 SA by KK-Scale) and have noticed that some of the BBR sets have a red ring on the center knockoffs and some sets don't. I've Googled for images of real Borrani knockoffs and couldn't find ones with a red ring. Does anyone know the significance of this red ring?
Where do I list a 1/18 MR huracan performante spider for sale? Tried Ebay but there is little activity. Are there any 1/18 forums?
