New 550 Owner

Hi All, just taken delivery of my new toy - I’ve always wanted one of these great cars and my buddy bought this great example following an evening playing “What was the car that got away??” We both came up with the same answer, however I could not find one that ticked all the boxes - he did and has enjoyed it for 4 years but earlier this year decided to downsize his collection and offered me first dibs..... its an absolute beauty and we did a deal, now I think he is regretting his decision, however I intend to enjoy it to the full.....
Only negative is the famed sticky switch issue - I know surgical spirit can be a temp fix but what is the consensus on a long term solution?

I think there are two companies that resolve your sticky issues. StickyRX and Sticky NoMore. I believe you might find their processes are different and many here on this board have been quite happy with either....perhaps a small leaning of preference to Dave Lelonek at StickyRx.

Congratulations! Worth the wait. Yellow is not my favorite color, but man does it look great on the Maranello. Enjoy in good health.

Congrats...just got this one this year...What can I say about the color....PRICELESS!

 

Congratulations. I have one too - a 2000 in yellow. Best driving Ferrari ever! Had all of the switches and ashtray done by Sticky No More - very satisfied with result. You would think Ferrari would've changed their process after the first year of this occurring. Ken

if based in the UK or Europe I would recommend Robert @ www.carplastix.com

his work is excellent and uses the same laser technology as the others. His prices are very good and the turn around exceptionally quick, days rather than weeks or months.

He done the whole Enzo sticky interior in 10 days - posted DHL to returned DHL - perfection.

Also you don't have to pay or have the threat of USA import/export tax cost that can run into hundreds of pounds.

Yellow is THE color for a 550, it is one of the few Ferraris that looks better in yellow than red. Great choice. It looks like it is in great condition too.

Hey, I just noticed the wheel is on the wrong side for your location. How fast can you do London to Brighton in that car? lol
