There was a Tornado in Dallas Texas October 20th 2019 that caused a lot of damage:

This F12 was one such item caught in the path:

To keep from having to click the link for information:

    2017 Ferrari F12 70th
    Chassis: ZFF74UFA1H0229259
    Miles: 262

The auction description is vague and leaves out important information like there was standing water inside the car for over 3 days from the rear hatch glass being blown out to the holes in the windshield. The interior is peppered from flying glass and other airborne debris. Leather damaged ranges from minor nicks and scrapes to bucking from water damage, to actual tears from the 2x4's that went through the windshield! Every body panel has some form of damage ranging from dings, scrapes, gouges, dents, peeling paint, to a large hole in the hood where a flying object pierced through. Other than water damage to the control units directly under the hole, there does not appear to be any actual engine damage itself. The engine air filter boxes had standing water in them, though the car was not running when the storm hit.

The car did run and drive, though roughly, with just about every malfunction message showing on the instrument cluster, as almost every control unit had stored faults and malfunctions. The driver side front rotor had scoring from glass particles caught in and around the brake caliper when the car was transported. This was noted on the insurance estimate.

The preliminary estimate to repair was more than enough to total this F12 , before any supplements come in to play.

While I was personally interested in purchasing it , adding glass, and a moderate detail, leaving everything else as-is... then adding a license plate that read " TWISTED " .... as this 70th will forever be known as the tornado car.... why not leave it as a nice conversation starter...

Anyways, good luck to the bidders, buyer beware , I'm interested to see where it ends up!

Those are actually just speed holes, $15k option from the factory. Custom paint job is another $10k option.

Thanks for getting the word out, Copart tends to be... less than honest.

So, unfortunately, "TWISTED" and several variations of it are already in use,

    I think they meant MSRP...

But then again, they listed the damage as " front end damage " ....
