Thought I did. Oh well, too many Bahama mammas will make one forgetful. [emoji2] Looks like a good week and change for the Texans. At least one Texas NFL team ain't embarrassing The Great State. T
If your team is winning, it's an easier sell. If not, not much will work, especially in a market like Los Angeles with lots of alternatives. I can see why Rams left. I don't really understand what the Bolts leadership was thinking. They're a second (third?) fiddle team playing in a minor league stadium that is routinely playing home games "on the road." When I landed at LAX a week ago, I saw more people with Vikings - the visitors - gear (half dozen or so) than Chargers gear (zero)...T
Definitely. When I was just in Cali/Mexico the only teams people wanted to talk about were the Cowboys (yes, I know, they stink) and the Raiders...T
I found the win disappointing. With all the turnovers Winston had the Texans should have been up by at least 28 by half. Their 10-5, but it's an ugly 10-5.
CAN the Chargers move? Or are they tied to the new stadium? What city could they move to that would support them thru thick and thin? My GUESS is they might end up back in SD, but then again, they pissed off so many fans that I doubt they get most of them back. I cannot think of any metropolitan area that will always fill the stadium, and support them win or lose. Those are the big ones, mainly fill the place, always. You can name off all the big cities with no team, but I doubt they would support one.
Seems they wait for you to be away to play their best - if you stayed on vacation until Feb 3 the Cowboys would win the Superbowl LOLOL
Lol. If only it were that easy! [emoji2] And in other news, Kirk Cousins is 0-9 on MNF. Yikes! [emoji51] T
I think I said before the season that the Dolphins would win 4 or 5 games, even while others were saying they were "tanking" and were the worst team in the league. Well, they got their 4 wins, and maybe they'll get 5 if a miracle happens and they beat the Patriots. (After all, Hanukkah is happening and that was a miracle!) It looks like the Bengals were the real "tankers".
AhHH, A thinly-veiled 'funny'..... Oakland playing in LA WILL be a home game - for Oakland. Betcha there are more Raiders fans there than Chargers fans.... Well, there is one in the draft that grew up in Ohio, and was at Ohio State.... until he transferred.... to LSU.
Brian Flores deserves major kudos. That team was likely less talented at the start of the season than the 0-16 Browns of a few years ago....T
I think they need D more than O. If they keep AJ Green and he can stay healthy, add in Mixon. They have a few decent other skill players. Of course, a lot of ifs though since their folks seem to have issues staying healthy...T
I was thinking NE would sit some guys or let them play just one series, but if NE won and Balt lost Balt is still the #1 seed due to beating NE a few weeks ago and gets home field advantage for all of the playoffs I think... I will be stunned if anyone besides Balt is in the SB from the AFC, but the KC defense is much-improved over the last 4 weeks.... They need to just dump AJ Green, he cannot stay healthy - EVER - and he costs them a LOT of $$$$$ There are a few teams that seem to ALWAYS get a ton of injuries, Cinn is one, Hou is one, Tenn is one, Pitt is one, plus a few others, I mean long-term 8+ games or the whole season. And some don't, nowhere near as many players, like GB, Dallas, Buff, I'm inclined to agree, and Dalton has not played that badly over the last few games since he got back into the starting lineup.
^Agree on Green, to a point. Currently, he's costing them about $15M/yr. His contract is up this year. He's no longer at that level of $$ IMO given age (he'll be 32 next season) and recent health issues (9 games in last 2 years). If they can sign him to a friendly, incentive laden deal, fine. What I've read suggest she still wants AJ-in-his-prime money...T
KC defense is fool's gold. NE will not sit their starters because NE loses any tie breakers to KC and HOU.
I've always preferred the draft strategy to take the best player available with the first pick and not what you need. Can either use that to replace someone in case an injury or departure or trade them for a proven player that fits a need.
Fair point. Or trade the pick and drop a little lower. Googled up some interesting draft trades... https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/draft/2018/04/14/nfl-draft-trades-picks-greatest-ricky-williams/501646002/ T
Watson limited in practice with a back injury. No info given. The question was asked if Watson and might be rested and McCaron will play. I really like this idea. I have zero concerns with him as a backup.
