    Is Ferrari in America more lenient for such things, or is it an arrangement with your dealer?
    In Europe it's a big nono as far as I know. At best they'll allow you to have the exhaust valves opened at all times.

    As far as I can tell, the law relating to this is effectively the same in Europe/UK and the USA.

    ..not sure about this ! I also think Americans are lenient. In Australia, if there’s a fault and if THE Ferrari Tech concludes that there’s even the slightest nexus ( indirect or direct ) to the modification, than we are refused all warranty rights. Very silly and narrow minded !

    I have no experience of Australia or it's laws relating to consumer rights or cars I'm afraid. I don't think USA and UK are so different though.
