S line exhaust is just a simple muffler change....headers and cats all still factory. I have original muffler as well. Hasn’t had issues passing emissions. The 16M/Scud setup sounds very nice with just this simple mod. On the other hand, my Speciale I had to change headers back to achieve a similar F1 sound.... Sent from my 16M
Very difficult to say...both achieve a very high pitched clean F1 sound...I’d give a slight nod to the Speciale with full IPE setup due to slightly higher volume. Here’s a head to head.... Sent from my 16M
So basically straight pipes after the first cats ? Of course the 458 will have a slightly grander sound because of the larger displacement. Are the rev ranges the same ? Assuming you can afford to pick from any color choice why did you pick white ? BTW the CF lower side panels look neat and unusual. Kind of rare on even a Scud.
I have IPE headers, IPE test pipes and IPE exhaust on Speciale... I believe Speciale tops out at 9000 rpm vs. Scud at 8500 rpm. Speciale has higher compression ratio at 14:1 vs 11.88:1 on Scud. I like to go against the grain a bit and never owned a red Ferrari. I love white with clean white lines and tried to compose a white collection, but it was too difficult to find a white CGT or white SV.... Thank you on the CF rocker panels, I do think they add a nice touch and contrast on a white car and I almost changed the rocker panels on my Speciale to match. Test pipes or 100 cell cats open up sound quite a bit. Will need either of those for an "apples to apples" comparison. I have brand new KLINE Inconel 100 cell cats for the Scud for sale if anyone wants to find out .
To me being a red car guy .. I have always liked the 16M in white just looks great .. hope you sell it soon ... IF I did not have my Scud .. ........
I think service history and maintenance is very important on a Ferrari and I would argue that there is no one more meticulous and knowledgeable than Eugenio. He is extremely knowledgeable and his shop is immaculate you can eat off his floor. He has maintained my 16M meticulously throughout my 7 years of ownership.
