The becker system in my 599 isn't really useful for navigation anymore and I'd like to use my phone for visual naviagtion. Does anybody have a great solution to mount a phone in a visual place f.i. on top the dash or around the air vents?

I normally use an air vent mount but the 599's seem to be to weak to support it.

It took me a while to come to my senses and finally change the deck. I got a deck with Apple car play and ran the cord to the center console with a very long cord. I tried everything else, don’t waste you time and save the old deck

Depending on how fat your hands are yes - i can work them adequately - ideally the unit would sit a bit higher up - but i left my flap (ooeerrr) installed so it was a simple swap out if i came to sell - the original install that i saw had the flap removed so it sat a bit higher up.
