So they had the Houston sports awards here yesterday. Just heard from Sean Pendergast said at this very very eloquent event he said Bill received some boo's. And these are all people with lots of money there. Lots of prominent business people there as well I believe. Really interesting.

 

They need to let it go. Team was up by 24 & spit the bit. IMO that's on the players. Especially the D. Boo Watt, McKinney, Mercilus, etc.

You have a good young QB, and a WR1. Get a good RB, teach DW when to throw the ball away to avoid sacks, and I think Texans have a team built to compete for a while...T

 

This is years of the same "I've gotta do better" "we've gotta do better". It's come to this point. People remember the same thing with Kubiak staying past due.

They said it was sparce, but definitely audible.

 

So, fire his butt. Hire a GM & get rolling. In another year or two, Texans will have to pay Watson $$$$. By then, it'll be $40M per annum as the going rate for a QB1, and then the salary cap becomes a major impediment...T

Well, John Lopez at the sports awards told Cal the fans really want to hear from him. He said "Let's do it". So apparently it's now in the works.

 

So, Bob McNair is dead. His wife is technically the owner? Is she actively involved? Is it the son? They're not in the toughest division, Pats may finally be in decline, they need to get rolling while Watson is a bargain. Cowboys wasted their window...T

 

Cal's runs the team now.

 

I can see a day in which the QB salary is excluded from the salary cap.

 

And exactly who do the fans plan to replace him with?

 

Interesting idea. Doesn't the NBA have a softer salary cap, so that teams can sign their players for more than other teams?
