Has anyone raised the seat rails on a 308 to give a little more height in the car? Can you use the following to raise the seat?

    https://corbeau.com/ferrari-308-gtb-s-seat-brackets.html

or is it better to customize a “rail riser” to under under the existing seat rail.

    2 purposes-
1 get better positioning for thigh height and angle of the hips in the seat.
2 add an amplifier under the seats or a subwoofer (I know sacrilege)

Will you still have headroom if you raise the seat any? I'm not a tall guy but I didn't have much to spare.

The Corbeau ones I'd think are to use if installing their seats. I couldn't imagine moving the seat up the few inches it looks like those brackets would. I would also check with them because the bracket shown won't work. On a 308 all 4 bolts go vertically through the floor. I'd ask them to get you an actual pic of the part before you buy. (they even have a disclaimer on the pic "not actual product")

You can put spacers at any night/size you want between the rail and the floorboard but you have to change the bolts to a longer ones.

there was a floorboard lowering discussion on this same page for seat height. Someone worked out a mechanism of dropping te floor.
I'm 5-10 so the height issue is not a big one even if I pushed the seat up an inch or so to accommodate some electronics.... may not be perceptible on initial inspection. But also makes for the angle between the thigh and hip flexion a little better.

thanks Mike. I was thinking to create a spacer rail and attach that to the floor and hvae the seat bolt pattern attach to the top of the rail

basically a steel rectangular block with dual drilled holes- something like this fr the tensile and lateral strength...

That’s probably a stronger idea but I was thinking of something simple like this kind of spacer that comes in different sizes. Image Unavailable, Please Login

    thanks Mike.
I considered spacers and they probably will work, but it creates a stress on the floor panel a linear piece of steel Gives structural Rigidity and stability to the pivot point on the seat rail attachment.

I have used aluminum spacers. I use 1 inch bar stock and just machine it to the height I want.

In my 330 2+2 I used aluminum spacers and longer bolts.

That, however, was a car designed for men wearing hats. A raised seating position left plenty of headroom and a great view of the road.

I wouldn’t want my 308 seats any higher.
