Hi Guys! I am joining the club after lusting after these automobiles for decades. I have recently acquired a 13 458 Spyder. The car is gorgeous and I will post up some pictures once i have it all cleaned up and she gets back from the Dealer. Now, as far as my question goes. I have a pair of Specialie seats that I would like to install, but the car has full power, memory, heated seats in it now. I am under the impression the Specialie seats will bolt right in and plug into the harness for sensors to function, etc. but appears I loose some other functionality with the electric column? The dealer said they have tried to "integrate" these seats into 3 other 458's and Ferrari wont release the programming if the car didn't come with it OEM. Can any of you provide some insight of actually doing it so i know what to expect. Thank you all so much in advance and looking forward to being part of the club.
I heard, but cannot independently verify, that functionality with the electro chromatic mirrors would be lost. Never heard that steering column functionality would be lost too. If both features cannot be made functional, I'd sell the race seats and keep the car stock. Full electric seats are quite nice.
Exactly. I keep reading different versions of what will and won't work. These have the harness to plug in as they came out of a 458 Speciale, BUT, i can't get confirmation or a single story straight. I mainly want them to sit lower in the car, I am 6'2" and every inch counts (... and before anyone else says it "Thats what she said..")
